Spiphn is a Web3 crypto exchange platform offering staking, IDO launchpad, token swapping, and crypto purchasing… all under one roof. The client needed a digital presence that felt both cutting-edge and credible: the kind of platform sophisticated DeFi users would trust with real assets.

The challenge was to translate complex blockchain primitives (liquidity pools, APY calculations, wallet connections) into an interface that's immediately legible, visually commanding, and genuinely enjoyable to navigate.

The Problem

DeFi platforms feel like dashboards.
They shouldn't.

"Most DeFi platforms prioritize data density over user comprehension, new users bounce within seconds, while power users struggle to trust platforms that look unpolished. We needed something different."

The crypto exchange space is saturated with dark-mode data walls: overwhelming grids of figures, inconsistent visual hierarchies, and UI patterns imported from traditional financial software. Spiphn's audience spans curious newcomers curious about Web3 and veteran DeFi traders. A challenge requiring clarity at every level of sophistication.

Credibility through visual precision.

My approach centered on three design principles:

Authority: the platform had to feel like a serious financial product.

Accessibility: complex features needed to be understood at a glance.

Continuity: a unified visual system across all pages, eliminating the disjointed feeling of most competitor platforms.

I established a dark-first design system with a restrained color palette: deep blacks for authority, a primary cyan-green accent for interactive elements and trust signals, and structured typography to create clear visual hierarchy across dense data tables and product cards.
